The world can be a dark place. Hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus, prophets started telling of one who would come and break through the darkness. Even though we live in a world of "light pollution" where it is hard to find a place dark enough to see the night sky, our world has once
again become spiritually dark. Jesus broke through the darkness, and came to earth 2,000 years ago. He is still breaking through the darkness today!

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. Isaiah 9:2 (NIV)
