A closer look at Crossroads...with no pressure to commit.
Have You Been To First Steps Yet?
Our pastors and ministry staff would like to have lunch with you and your family one Sunday after church. Because we are committed to "start where you are", we provide this opportunity as a first step you can easily take to get to know us better and we'd really like the opportunity to get to know you. If you've got questions about our church, this is a great place to get them answered. See the Frequently Asked Question's below for the details.
Frequently Asked Questions About First Steps:
Q) How much does the meal cost?
A) It's FREE for everyone. It usually includes a salad, main course, dessert, and drinks.
Q) How long is a First Steps event?
A) We start at 12:45pm and end at 2pm, so you'll be home in time for your Sunday afternoon naps, football games, etc...
Q) Am I going to have to commit to anything while I am there?
A) No. We will "start where you are". Some folks just want more information about the church and others are looking for ways to get involved. Whatever your starting point may be, we will do our best to meet you there and help you find the next best step for you.
Q) Is childcare available?
A) Yes. There is a special KidsCommunity First Steps and the nursery care is available for smaller children. Please rsvp so we know how many children to expect.
Q) Do I need to bring anything with me?
A) Nope, just show up and we'll take care of the rest.
Q) Can I bring friends?
A) Yes. Again, all we ask is that you let us know how many to expect in your group, even if it is the day of the event... we just want to be sure to make enough food.
Q) How do I RSVP?
A) Let us know if you can come at myfirststeps@crossroads.cc or call the church office at 757.898.4335. Be sure to give us a head count and including the number of children in your party as well.
Q) I heard that my picture might be taken... why?
A) Our staff is dedicated to getting to know the people who attend Crossroads. We don't want anyone to get lost in the crowd. Unfortunately, names and faces are not always easy to remember... so we would like to take a picture of you. This way, we can work on remembering better and use your picture as a point of contact when you want to get involved. Again, it is solely for our personal records and will not be made public.

Again, this orientation to Crossroads will give you a chance to get to know who we are, what we believe, and where we're going. It's a great chance to know Crossroads personally. Pastor Chuck and the ministry staff would love to share lunch with you. Let us know if you've got any question or comments. We look forward to the opportunity to get to know you better! |
